Zilea Barrilari is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Zurich Insurance in Brazil, where she has worked since December 2020. With over 30 years of experience, she has built a solid career in technology and transformation, primarily in the financial and insurance sectors, as well as having worked in telecommunications, retail, and services.
Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions in organizations such as Experian LATAM, Brasilprev, Banco Santander, Banco Real–ABN Amro, NEC do Brasil, Alpargatas, and Porto Seguro. Her work connects strategy, technology, and business to accelerate digital transformation, strengthen operational efficiency, and enhance the experience of clients and brokers,
always with a focus on security, innovation, and the generation of sustainable value.
She holds a degree in Business Administration, an MBA in Insurance from Ibmec, and an Executive MBA in Human Potential Development and Behavioral Neuroscience from PUC. She is an agile facilitator, ombudsperson, and certified coach, as well as co-author of books on co-creation, strategy, and female leadership in technology. She is also a member of MCIO (Women CIO Brazil), a network dedicated to increasing female representation in the sector.
