Raquel Reis
With a degree in actuarial science, Raquel Reis has worked in the insurance sector for 24 years, including stints at major companies. In January 2023, she assumed the position of CEO of Health & Dental at SulAmérica.
Her career with the company began in 2011 as a manager. She rose through the ranks to superintendent, then director, and finally vice-president. At that point, Raquel decided to change roles and work in the hospital network, where she stayed for about a year. "When I received the invitation to return to SulAmérica as CEO, it was a mix of fulfillment and a feeling of coming home," she says.
Her long career in the insurance sector gives Raquel the confidence to face the challenges the market has been facing. Among these is leading SulAmérica at a time when the market needs to reinvent itself, create mechanisms to inhibit fraud, balance costs in the post-pandemic world, innovate, and grow. In January 2025, she was elected president of the National Federation of Supplementary Health.
