Raquel Reis
With a degree in actuarial science, Raquel Reis has worked in the insurance industry for 24 years, working for large companies. In January 2023, she took over as CEO of SulAmérica's Health & Dental division.
The executive's career with the insurance company began in 2011 as a manager. She rose through the ranks of superintendent, then became director, and eventually reached the position of vice president. At that point, Raquel decided to move on and work in the hospital network, where she stayed for about a year.
"When I was invited to return to SulAmérica as CEO, it was a mix of fulfillment and a feeling of coming home," she says.
Her long career in the insurance industry gives Raquel the confidence to face the challenges the market has faced. Among them is leading SulAmérica at a time when the market needs to reinvent itself, create mechanisms to inhibit fraud, balance costs in the post-pandemic world, innovate, and grow.
In January 2025, she was elected president of the National Federation of Supplementary Health.
