
Cleber Morais is an experienced and passionate IT leader. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Cleber has led large-scale, highly complex organizations with an unparalleled ability to build and inspire teams. He was recognized in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 as one of the 50 most influential and notable professionals in the technology industry in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal, at the HITEC 50 (Hispanic Technology Executive Council) awards.
Cleber has served as Country Director for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Brazil since 2018, having also served as interim leader of the entire Latin American operation for AWS Global Sales LATAM (AGS LATAM) from November 2023 to August 2024. At AWS, Cleber leads a talented team of customer-focused professionals who pride themselves on helping companies with their digital transformation, from greenfields and startups to large enterprises, consistently achieving above-average market growth. Prior to joining AWS, he served as president of Schneider Electric Brazil and was responsible for a major restructuring that drove margin and sales growth. As president of Bematech, Cleber turned things around, increased EBITDA, changed strategy, acquired several companies, and completed the merger with Totvs.
As President of Avaya in Brazil between 2007 and 2011, his leadership success was featured in a June 2010 article titled "Change Management – Five Steps to Success," cited in an article in Harvard Business Review Magazine. Between 1996 and 2007, he was an executive at Sun Microsystems, becoming Board Sales Manager for Latin America in 2001, having come from Florida, United States. He returned to Brazil to serve as president of the local subsidiary for four years, where he also achieved significant success in Marketing, Sales, and Sales Channels. He also worked at IBM Brazil from 1988 to 1996.
Cleber holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Mauá University of Engineering in São Paulo. He also holds extension and professional development certificates in Sales, Marketing, Customer Relations, and Leadership from institutions such as Harvard Business School, Columbia University Business School, the University of Pennsylvania, Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Fundação Dom Cabral – INSEAD, PGA 2009, and the London Business School. Cleber is also a member of the World Trade Center (WTC) and the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
