
Reinaldo Marques holds a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from UFMG, a master's degree from PUC-Rio, and a PhD from the Department of Risk and Statistics at the University of Oslo. He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Actuarial Science (MIBA) and has extensive experience in data analysis applied to actuarial science, focusing on quantitative methods for financial and actuarial risk, modeling, reinsurance, solvency, and regulatory capital.
Recognized for his academic output, he has received awards such as the SBSS Paper Competition (American Statistical Association, 2014) and the Ricardo Frischtak Award (IBA, 2016). He is the author of three books on quantitative risk assessment.
He is currently superintendent of IRB(R&D), coordinator of the Actuarial Science course at Unifal-MG, General Director of the Actuarial Risk and Innovation Laboratory (LAR) and co-director of cIA.
