Reinaldo Marques holds a degree in Actuarial Science from UFMG, a master's degree from PUC-Rio, and a PhD from the Department of Risk and Statistics at the University of Oslo. He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Actuaries (MIBA) and has extensive experience in data analysis applied to actuarial science, focusing on quantitative methods of financial and actuarial risk, modeling, reinsurance, solvency, and regulatory capital.
Recognized for his academic work, he has received awards such as the SBSS Paper Competition (American Statistical Association, 2014) and the Ricardo Frischtak Award (IBA, 2016). He is the author of three books on quantitative risk assessment.
Currently, he is the superintendent of IRB(R&D), coordinator of the Actuarial Science course at Unifal-MG, Director-General of the Actuarial Risk and Innovation Laboratory (LAR), and co-director of cIA.
