Terry Buechner is a Principal Insurance Specialist and the Insurance Core Systems lead at Amazon Web Services, focusing on helping insurers drive innovation through the modernization of their core applications. He has been with AWS since 2019. From 2016-2019 he ran the Digital Consulting practice at Majesco, an insurance software and services company, and from 2004-2016 he held various roles on the Global Insurance team at IBM, including five years stationed in Japan and two in Latin America. He lives with his family in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, where he is a Company Captain in the volunteer fire department. He has a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
